Short Chain Quality Italian Pellets

  • Establishments located in the areas of origin of the raw material
  • Use of technological innovation to greatly reduce the use of electricity in the production process
  • Realizzazione di un Brand “forte” radicato nelle
    zone
    di produzione
  • Certain destination of the product on the Italian market guaranteed by existing sales network
Pellet pattern

The market for pellet consumption in Italy has been growing strongly for years: our country, with 3.5 million tonnes/year, ranks first in Europe for heating pellet consumption, and forecasts for the coming years speak of a growth trend of 10-12% per year.

In contrast, with only about 600 million tonnes per year of domestic production, we are unable to meet demand and the market has resorted to importing about 3 million tonnes from:

  • Austria
  • Germany
  • Slovenia
  • Ukraina
  • North Africa
  • Canada
  • USA

The growing domestic market and the high reliance on imports highlight the opportunities that exist in Italian pellet production.

To partially fill these gaps, we planned to build three plants within 24 months, capable of producing a total of 30,000 tonnes per year of high-quality, certified pellets.

Thanks to our technical and commercial expertise in the industry, as well as established relationships with raw material suppliers, we have developed an ambitious project for domestic pellet production.

In order to realise this vision and achieve our goal of leadership in the industry, we are looking for financiers, venture capitalists or investment funds that can support this project from its early stage.

In detail

The objective of the project is the creation of plants and a network of production facilities on Italian territory, for the creation of ITALIAN QUALITY PELLET, exploiting and enhancing the raw material extracted from selected forests.

The rational management of forests, offers new income possibilities, provides renewed development opportunities for the various local economies by providing effective solutions that reduce the environmental impact of traditional heating systems while stimulating the gradual replacement of fossil energy sources with renewable energy sources.

Producing combustible pellets, by extracting matrices from the forest, guarantees the areas concerned:

Energy benefits

  • reduction of dependence on imports of fossil energy sources from foreign areas with out-of-control prices;
  • valorisation of renewable energy resources that are always present but little exploited in the forest;
  • energy supply from indigenous sources;
  • redistribution over the territory of the energy extracted from it.

Environmental benefits

  • contribution to the achievement of the Kyoto Protocol and subsequent targets;
  • reductions in typical pollutant emissions from fossil fuels and climate-changing gases;
  • active contribution to the consolidation and development of forest cultivation and maintenance;
  • maintenance of the entire territory as a by-product of the productive exploitation of the forest heritage;
  • containment of the increasingly topical problems of hydrogeological instability;
  • increased monitoring and reduced frequency of fire phenomena and landslide and flood events;
  • reinvigoration of the forest heritage.

Economic and social benefits

  • technological, production and organisational innovation in the field of green energy production exclusively from local sources;
  • return of employment in agroforestry;
  • increase the economy in inland areas with an improvement in the quality of life of residents in mountain communities;
  • re-launch of eco-tourism (more profitable, more qualified and with less impact) through the promotion of local models of sustainable development.
    The offer of guided tours facilitated by a newfound accessibility of the area and the availability of new vehicles, more accessible road networks and competitive facilities for forest living.

To our company creator and author of the operation

  • The certainty of local raw material with the possibility of reawakening forestry activity, catalysing its flows, guaranteeing supplies;
  • the excellent acceptability of the communities involved through active participation in forest maintenance;
  • the innovative opportunity for the territory to use its combustible wood in an automatic (pellet), practical and more advantageous form characterised by the creation of both direct and induced jobs;
  • the security of placement of all the fuel produced, thanks to a growing market and an established distribution network;
  • very high success rate of the initiative.
